These terms cover your use of easycookie.net. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable — the short version is: bake anything you like from here, but please don’t republish it as your own.
Agreeing to these terms
By visiting or using easycookie.net you accept these Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which form part of them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use this site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian — baking in particular involves hot ovens and equipment.
Who we are
“Easy Cookie”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of easycookie.net, an independently run baking recipe website. “You” means anyone visiting or using it. We can be reached at contact@easycookie.net.
Using the site
The site is free to read and needs no account. You agree to use it lawfully, and not in any way that damages it, interferes with anyone else’s use of it, or places an unreasonable load on it.
Recipes, techniques and timings are published for general information. Please read the Disclaimer before relying on them — particularly the sections on allergens and food safety.
What you may do with our content
All text, photographs, illustrations, logos and design on this site belong to Easy Cookie or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. That said, we want you to actually use these recipes. Without asking us, you may:
- Bake anything on this site, as often as you like, including for sale in your own bakery, cafe or market stall. Recipes themselves are not something we claim to own — only the way they are written and photographed here.
- Print or save a recipe page for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Share a link to any page, anywhere.
- Use one of our photographs to feature a recipe elsewhere, provided you do not crop out or obscure any watermark, you rewrite the method entirely in your own words rather than copying ours, and you credit Easy Cookie with a direct, working, followable link to the original recipe page.
What you may not do
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- Republish a recipe’s written method, headnote or other text in full or in substantial part, whether on a website, in print, in a PDF, in an email newsletter, or in a video description.
- Use our photographs in a recipe card, roundup image, thumbnail collage, or anything presented as your own work; or hotlink our images so they load from our server.
- Use our content, name or logo to imply that we endorse you, your products or your business.
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, spider or otherwise systematically extract content from the site, or use any automated means to copy it in bulk.
- Use any content from this site to train, fine-tune, ground or otherwise develop a machine learning or generative artificial intelligence model or dataset.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system; introduce malware; or probe, scan or test its security.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright notice or attribution.
If you would like to do something not covered above — a cookbook, a class handout, a syndication deal — just ask. We usually say yes.
Comments and submissions
Comments are open on recipe pages and we are glad to have them. When you post a comment or send us a message, you confirm that it is your own, that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights, and that it is not unlawful, misleading, abusive, hateful, obscene or spam.
By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, store, reproduce and adapt your comment on the site and in connection with promoting it. You keep ownership of what you write.
We may moderate, edit or remove any comment, at our discretion and without notice — typically for spam, self-promotion or abuse. We do not pre-approve every comment and are not responsible for the content of comments left by others. Comments are opinions of the people who wrote them, not advice from us.
Affiliate links and advertising
This site contains affiliate links and is supported by advertising. Where you buy something through an affiliate link we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and adverts may be served and targeted by third-party networks. Any purchase you make from a third-party retailer is a contract between you and that retailer. We are not a party to it and have no responsibility for the goods, the price, delivery, returns or customer service.

We link to other sites where it is useful. We do not control them, do not endorse them by linking, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. Once you follow a link away from easycookie.net, that site’s own terms and policies apply.
No warranty
The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete or current, that recipes will produce any particular result, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here — including any loss, illness, injury or damage connected with preparing or consuming food made from a recipe on this site.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or reasonable cost arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site, including any unauthorised republication of our content.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may add, change, remove or stop publishing anything on the site at any time, and we may suspend or withdraw the site altogether, without notice and without liability.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you break these terms, we may block your access.
Applicable law
Easy Cookie is published from a single location and read all over the world, and we make no claim that its content is appropriate or available for use in every country. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you are.
These terms are governed by the law of the place from which Easy Cookie is operated, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
